Journal Awards: Meet the Nominees

This year’s Journal Awards are officially underway. We have compiled a group of some of the best independent brands from across the country. With thanks to the help of our guest judges, Alison Edgar MBE and Zara Janjua, we have managed to whittle down the list to these final nominees.

Why they are nominated: Based in the Newcastle area and covering the entire North East, this team are all about getting the most of the outdoors. A seemingly neverending array of experiences for individuals, pairs, and groups. Not many places put the customer first like Endless Adventure.

Category: Startup Star & Plant Pioneer

Why they are nominated: Health and diet shakes and produce that is guided by expert professionals: this isn’t a fad. Inspired by their own fitness passion, owners Charlie and Dan have put the fun back into fitness.

Why they are nominated: A real local legend in the Scottish Borders, the Naked Sourdough microbakery star is on the rise. Offering classes and delivering loaves and more to the local area, this business story started from a passion for baking and has come on leaps and bounds already.

 

North Coast Water Sports

Why they are nominated: The popular NC500 tour in the north of Scotland is likely to become even more popular with attractions like this. Professional surfing and SUP-boarding lessons against a scenic backdrop.
